  • It means every material decision is weighed for embodied carbon, durability, and end-of-life. We favour reclaimed timber, lime plasters, natural insulation and low-VOC finishes. We publish a full material ledger for every project.

  • A single-room renovation typically takes 4–8 weeks on site. Whole-home projects range from 5 to 11 months including design. We prefer slower, well-paced builds over rushed ones.

  • Yes — we travel for projects of meaningful scope across the West Coast and selected international commissions. A small surcharge covers crew lodging and logistics.

  • Absolutely. About a third of our projects are build-only collaborations. We're easy to bring in and document everything clearly for the design team.

  • We provide an open-book estimate after the discovery visit, then a fixed-price contract once design is final. No hidden mark-ups on materials.
